Like many studios, tinyBuild and developer Cradle Games have announced that they’ve had to delay their upcoming releases. In this case, Hellpoint, which was supposed to arrive on April 16 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam, will now be pushed back to Q2 2020. The simultaneous release for consoles and PC is still planned to go ahead.
Cradle Games plans to use the extra development time to address user feedback received from those who played the free sequel chapter Hellpoint: The Thespian Feast, which was released back in February.
As a way of making it up to players, Cradle Games have released a new launch teaser trailer.
“In light of the unprecedented events facing the world, we have been forced to postpone the launch of the game,” states Cradle Games creative director Matt Boudreau. “We plan to use the additional development time not just for polishing, but also to address the feedback we’ve gathered and make Hellpoint an even better gaming experience for everybody! The feedback of the community had such enthusiasm and energy.”
